Written Work Portfolio
I write sometimes. Not for any particular gain, I just enjoy doing it now and again. The bulk of my creative writing is channelled into my song lyrics, but now and again I like to write a short story or three if I have the time. You'll notice that they're all centred around this 'Enormouschicken' character I've created. It's not me being egotistical, I just think a giant chicken is as good a character as any. Besides, it all started on a website I go on regularly as a bit of a joke and progressed from there. If you read my Enormouschicken stuff, you might understand that I don't take myself too seriously as a writer.

Doctor Who Book Reviews (2005)

A growing collection of reviews I'm writing for a friend's website as and when I read Doctor Who books. I find analytical writing much less interesting than creative writing, so I tend to try and be reasonably creative in my reviewing style. Most serious critical reviews can be a little dry, so everday speak and the occasional joke is the order of the day here.

I'll keep adding to this list as I progress through the books.

Other Doctor Who Books:

Scream of the Shalka

Eighth Doctor Books:

The Eight Doctors

The Dying Days

Rip Tide

Eye of the Tyger

Vampire Science

The Bodysnatchers

Genocide

War of the Daleks

Alien Bodies

The Manipulations of Enormouschicken (2004 - 2005)

A completely crackers sci-fi tale in which the intrepid 'Enormouschicken' and companions get up to some adventurous, tongue-in-cheek madness with in-jokes, TV and music references aplenty.

Articles (2003 - 2004)

Two serious articles I've written - one for a university project in which we were asked to analyse media within the context of a few different topics, the other for Bradford's Positive Images project, about racism in modern football and how it can be dealt with.

Doctor Sooty - The Script (2001)

The final script for this bizarre TV show crossover, hopefully something to whet your appetite while I see if I can get the video file uploaded.
