Fallen Stars
Lyrics

Sometimes I watch the sky

And the falling rain

Water trickles slowly

Down the window pane

I ponder about life

And what its meaning is

It’s all coming down

To eventualities

-

Next few years could make or break us

Decisions now affect our futures

-

FALLEN STARS, FALLEN STARS

WE TRY TO PATCH THE HOLES UP

BUT WE CAN’T

FALLEN STARS, FALLEN STARS

FALLEN STARS, FALLEN STARS

THE WHOLE WORLD AROUND US

TEARS APART

FALLEN STARS, IS WHAT WE ARE

-

Sometimes I watch the sky

And the drifting clouds

Aware of pounding life

Beat without a sound

Am I the only one

For a moment here

Striving to become

Before I disappear?

Ignorance may just take us

Actions taken now can save us

-

FALLEN STARS, FALLEN STARS

WE TRY TO PATCH THE HOLES UP

BUT WE CAN’T

FALLEN STARS, FALLEN STARS

FALLEN STARS, FALLEN STARS

THE WHOLE WORLD AROUND US

TEARS APART

FALLEN STARS, IS WHAT WE ARE

-

Sometimes I watch something

Wonder if it is the sky

Or is it just a perspective

With which I can identify

This is not the time

To philosophise

Let’s work as a team

Let’s get organised

-

FALLEN STARS, FALLEN STARS

WE TRY TO PATCH THE HOLES UP

BUT WE CAN’T

FALLEN STARS, FALLEN STARS

FALLEN STARS, FALLEN STARS

THE WHOLE WORLD AROUND US

TEARS APART

FALLEN STARS, IS WHAT WE ARE

Lowdown

I think a lot. I wonder if the daily trudge is all there is to life. I wonder what would happen if humanity united under one common goal - to better ourselves.

The reason I try so hard at everything I do is because I want to better myself. I want to be the best I can be. It saddens me that far too many people are just content with their lot.

Are we forever to stumble from day to day, changing nothing and attempting nothing? Are we Fallen Stars, forever exiled from our place in the beyond due to something so mundane as bone idleness?
